[REVIEW] ANIME: Pokémon The Movie: I Choose You!

Name: Pokémon The Movie: I Choose You!
Japanese Name: 劇場版ポケットモンスター キミにきめた!
Duration: 1 Hour and 38 Minutes
Aired: July 15, 2017
Genre : Action, Adventure, Comedy, Kids

Synopsis:
The movie starts how Ash and Pikachu meet. Pikachu didn't like Ash in the beginning until Ash protects him from a group of Spearows. On that day they left pallet town, both of them saw Ho-oh flying and they made a promise to meet Ho-oh again.

Review by Nine:
I'm going to give a warning first, this review will be very harsh and will have a spoilers.

So I saw this movie today (5 November 2017) in the cinema. I got my ticket on October 18th, 2017 because I saw the movie is about Ash and Pikachu and their story on how it al begin.

For me it was nostalgia because I was 6 when Pokémon aired in The Netherlands and 21 years later I still watch it. I thought the movie would be about the first seasons, but I was so wrong.

It started with the opening I grew up with the dutch version of Pokémon but the opening was always in english: GOTTA CATCH THEM ALL! I was honestly preparing myself to sing with the opening just like other people of my age that grew up with Pokémon. And then the famous beginning tune came and we were ready to sing our heart out. And then it was the dutch version of GOTTA CATCH THEM ALL and we were all like..wtf is this, and the dutch version is really bad. So we were pretty much quiet.

So the movie continued and I really wanted to see Misty and Brock again, and guess what NO MISTY AND BROCK. Ash and girl and a other boy (forget their names) heard about that there was a Entei in the woods.

I'm pretty sure that Entei didn't appear in the first season. But okay Ash and the girl and the other boy went on the journey to meet Ho-Oh because Ash got a rainbow feather from Ho-Oh and he has to bring it to a mountain to meet Ho-Oh.

I saw Pokémons in this movie that do not even belong in the beginning of Pokémon. The girl has a Piplup and Piplup didn't exist in the first season.

Everything that Ash has done with Misty and Brock is in the movie except for Misty and Brock. They got replaced by the girl and the other boy.

Overall:
Seriously don't go this movie, save your money. It's really not worth it at all. And I think my rating below here says enough on how much disappointed I am.

Rating out of 10: 1
