[REVIEW] J-DRAMA: 1 Litre of Tears

Name: One Litre of Tears
Japanese Name: 1リットルの涙
Episodes: 11
Duration: 45 min. per episode .
Aired: October 11, 2005 – December 20, 2005
Genre: Romance, School, Drama, Family, Melodrama, Tragedy

Sypnosis:
Fifteen-year-old Ikeuchi Aya is an ordinary girl, soon to be high school student and daughter of a family who works at a shop that makes tofu. After a while unusual things start happening to Aya. She begins falling down often and walking strangely.

Her mother decides take Aya to a doctor and then learns that she has Spinocerebellar Degeneration. It's a rare disease where the cerebellum of the brain slowly stops working.

Review by Nine:
This drama serie is something that really made my heart hurt. I even cried alot half way the serie. People who have Spinocerebellar Degeneration will struggle with walking, talking, writing and even eating food and there is nothing to stop it.

1 Litre of Tears is based on a real story, so everything you see has happened to that person. I could honestly talk alot more about this serie but not without spoilers.

Overall:
A really good drama serie based on a real story. I'll give you a tip: Buy tissues because you will cry one litre of tears during this drama.

Rating out of 10: 10
