[REVIEW] Japanese Movie: Blue Spring Ride

Name: Blue Spring Ride
Japanese name: アオハライド
Duration: 2 hr. 5 min.
Aired: December 13, 2014
Genre: Drama, Comedy, School, Romance

Sypnosis:
This movie is about Yoshioka Futaba, who had a crush on Tanaka Kou when they were both in middle school. However, Kou moved away. What Futaba didn’t expect, was to meet Kou again at the end of her first year in high school. But he wasn’t the way she remembered him. He was different. Not only his personality, but he also legally changed his name into Mabuchi Kou.

Review by Astrid:
This is a live-action from the anime/manga Blue Spring Ride / Ao Haru Ride. I loved this anime! I admit I was a bit scared to watch this movie. If a movie or drama is adapted from something such as an anime, game or book, I’m always incredibly critical with my opinion, which ruins the fun for myself most of the time.

This movie didn’t disappoint me at all! The romance was really cute, and in my opinion not forced. The characters were worked out amazingly well. The acting was good, too. They also followed the storyline perfectly!

Overall:
Very cute movie, romance isn’t forced, characters are worked out well, sometimes the quality of the ‘camera’ annoyed me a little bit.

Rating out of 10: 8.5
